Our Mission in Nursing

At Point X Extreme Healthcare Education, our mission is to take nursing education to the next level — with courses led by nurses who are extreme experts in their specialty areas. We bring real-world experience, high-impact learning, and hands-on insight to every class — because great nurses deserve more than ordinary education. Point X Extreme Healthcare  is approved by the California Board of Registered Nurses. 

Meet Our Instructors

Meredith Graham

RN- MSN-Family Nurse Practitioner

Meredith started her emergency medical career in 1997 as a life guard while in high school. After high school she became an EMT and shortly after an EMT instructor for the local high school district, this is what Meredith did for the next 10 years. Her motivation was to produce the most qualified staff to serve the community. She taught as if she was preparing her students to take care of her own family. Which in later years became true.

In 2005 Meredith graduated from Antelope Valley College with an ADN as a Registered Nurse and started her ER nursing career at LA County USC and then joined the team at a local public hospital in the Emergency Department. 

As an RN Meredith served as a Clinical Education Specialist, Pediatric Nurse Liaison and interim Trauma Program Manager. 

After becoming a family Nurse Practitioner in 2011 Meredith has continued to serve the community in the ER and has taught as adjunct faculty for a local ADN-RN program. 

Meredith serves as the lead medical provider and clinical coordinator for a Christian ministry that helps women and children in trapped situations and does awareness to action education in healthcare for The Slave Free Project. 

Meredith believes that by empowering nurses through education and building their confidence in delivering quality patient care, we can strengthen our communities and ultimately change the world.

Ian McCartor

Hospice Nurse/Artist

Ian McCartor is a hospice nurse, artist, and founder of The Ash Rose Project, an innovative program that transforms the ashes of loved ones into memorial portraits that symbolize healing and remembrance. Drawing from over a decade in hospice care, Ian combines clinical expertise with creative legacy work – using both visual art and music to help patients and families find peace, meaning, and connection at the end of life.
 
As a singer-songwriter, Ian has written and recorded legacy songs for hospice patients – personal compositions that honor their stories and relationships. His work has been featured in national hospice and grief-care forums as an example of how the arts can complement evidence-based care and deepen the human experience of dying and remembrance.
 
Through his companies Phoenix Memorial Arts and Eternal Companion Studios, he continues to integrate art, storytelling, and compassionate care in ways that redefine how we honor life’s final chapter.
 

Cameron Gomez

MSN, RN, MICN, CEN

Cameron Gomez is a master’s-prepared Registered Nurse with extreme expertise in emergency and post-anesthesia care. With years on the front lines of critical care, Cameron brings real-world insight, sharp clinical judgment, and a passion for evidence-based practice to every learning experience. Dedicated to shaping the next generation of nurses, Cameron turns clinical challenges into powerful teaching moments.
